Privacy Policy

Who we are

iofold labs (“iofold”, “we”) runs iofold.com. This policy covers information we receive through the website and its contact form. Data we handle for clients during an engagement is governed by the agreement with that client, not by this policy.

Browsing the website

iofold.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical details every web request carries, such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time, in order to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare keeps request logs for a short period and gives us aggregate traffic figures such as page views, referrers and countries. We use these to fix problems, keep the site secure and see which pages are read.

The contact form

When you send the form we store:

• your name, work email, company (optional), the topic you chose and your message;
• the page you sent it from;
• the country Cloudflare derives from your connection and your browser’s user agent;
• a one-way hash of your IP address, used to limit repeated submissions. We do not store the IP address itself.

Submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and a copy is emailed to the founders. If you email us directly, we keep the correspondence in our email.

Please do not send confidential or personal data about other people through the form. If the work involves sensitive data, we agree on confidentiality terms before you share it.

How we use it

• To reply to you and discuss the work you described
• To keep a record of our conversations with you
• To protect the site and the form from abuse

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising or add you to a mailing list. We share it only with the service providers below, or where the law requires it.

Service providers

• Cloudflare: hosting, security, the database for form submissions and delivery of form notifications (privacy policy)
• Google Workspace: our email (privacy policy)
• GitHub: hosts our open-source repositories; issues and discussions you post there are subject to GitHub’s privacy statement

These providers process data in several countries, including the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and correspondence for as long as we are in contact with you or your company, and delete them on request. Cloudflare request logs expire on Cloudflare’s own schedule.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information you sent, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing yash@iofold.com. Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you further rights; we respond to these requests wherever you are.

Security

All traffic to iofold.com uses HTTPS. Form submissions are accessible only to the founders’ Cloudflare account, and IP addresses are stored only as hashes.

Children

iofold.com is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
